This beanie is made with double crochet stitches and two different types of yarn to create a striped effect.

This is a great way to use up leftover yarn and make more beanies!
Stitches used:
ch- chain
sc – single crochet
dc – double crochet
sl st – slip stitch
st – stitch
Hat Sizes:
X-small – 8” long and 17” flat circumference
Small – 8” long and 18” flat circumference
Medium – 8.5” long and 19” flat circumference
Large – 8.5” long and 20” flat circumference
For version 1:

Main Color is A and Stripes are with B
Using size 4 yarn (worsted or medium weight yarn) with a K-10.5 (6.5 mm) needle.
Follow sizing by color – x-small, small, medium, large
With Color A, Ch 4 and loop to make a magic ring.
Row 1 (Color A) – ch 2 (this counts as your first dc of this row) and then 11 (12,13,14) dc into the ring. Join with sl st to first dc (12,13,14,15 dc)
Row 2 (Color A) – ch 2 (this counts as your first dc of this row), dc in the same st as joining, and then 2 dc in each stitch all the way around to end. Join with sl st to first dc. (24, 26, 28, 30 dc)
Row 3 (Color A) – ch 2 (this counts as your first dc of this row), dc in same st as joining, dc in the next st, then repeat {2 dc in the next st, dc in the next st} to the end. Join with sl st to first dc. (36, 39, 42, 45 dc)
Row 4 (Color A) – ch 2 (this counts as your first dc of this row), dc in same st as joining, dc in the next 2 st, then repeat {2 dc in the next st, dc in the next 2 st} to the end. Join with sl st to first dc (48, 52, 56, 60 dc)
Row 5 (Color A) – ch 2 (this counts as your first dc of this row), dc in each st all the way around to the end. Join with sl st to first dc. (48, 52, 56, 60 dc). Change to Color B
Row 6- 7 (Color B) – repeat row 5. Change to Color A (48, 52, 56, 60 dc)
