Sometimes, a Size 6 (super bulky) yarn can feel like a Size 5 (bulky) yarn or vice versa. Here is a variation of our pattern for a Thick and Toasty SC Triple Striped Beanie made with either a Size 5 (bulky) yarn or a slender Size 6 (super bulky) yarn.

This beanie is made by alternating 3 rows of single crochet and double crochet in the body of the hat.
Stitches used:
ch- chain
sc – single crochet
dc – double crochet
sl st – slip stitch
st – stitch
Using size 5 yarn (bulky) or a narrow size 6 yarn (super bulky) with a L-11 (8 mm) needle to make a large beanie (18-19 inch circumference and 9 inch high)
