Sometimes, a Size 6 (super bulky) yarn can feel like a Size 5 (bulky) yarn or vice versa. Here is a variation of our pattern for a Thick and Toasty Spike Stitch Band Beanie made with either a Size 5 (bulky) yarn or a slender Size 6 (super bulky) yarn.

This beanie is made with a band of spike stitches in the body of the hat.
Stitches used:
ch- chain
sc – single crochet
dc – double crochet
ldc – long double crochet
