Row 2 – ch 2 (this counts as your first dc of this row), dc in the same st as joining, and then 2 dc in each stitch all the way around to end. Join with sl st to first dc. (24 dc)
Row 3 – ch 2 (this counts as your first dc of this row), dc in same st as joining, dc in the next st, then repeat {2 dc in the next st, dc in the next st} to the end. Join with sl st to first dc. (36 dc)
Row 4 – ch 2 (this counts as your first dc of this row), dc in same st as joining, dc in the next 3 st, then repeat {2 dc in the next st, dc in the next 4 st, 2 dc in the next st dc in the next 3 st} to the end. Join with sl st to first dc (44 dc)
Row 5 – ch 2 (this counts as your first dc of this row), dc in each st all the way around to the end. Join with sl st to first dc. (44 dc)
Row 6-10 – repeat row 5 (44 dc)

SNOUT (Make 1)
Using PURPLE yarn, Ch 7 (this is your foundation chain)
Row 1 – (working stitches all around the chain) first 3 ch count as first dc and starting ch, 2 dc in the 3rd ch (starting ch), dc in the next 3 ch, 5 dc in the 5th ch, dc in the next 3 ch on the opposite side of chain, 2 dc in starting ch, sl stitch to top of first dc (16 dc)
Row 2 – (working stitches all around row 1) ch 2 (this is your first dc), 2 dc in the same st as joining, 3 dc in the next st, dc in the next 5 st, 3 dc in the next 3 dc, dc in the next 5 st, 3 dc in the next dc. Join with st to the first dc and fasten off. Leave long strand for sewing. (28 dc)
EARS (Make 2)
Using PURPLE yarn, ch 4 and loop to make a magic ring
Row 1 – ch 2 (this counts as your first dc of this round) and then 7 dc into the ring. Join with sl st to the first dc. (8 dc)
Row 2 – ch 2 (this counts as your first dc of this round), dc in each st all the way around. Join with sl st to first dc. Fasten off and leave a long strand for sewing. (8 dc)
Putting it together:
- Sew Ears in between Rows 2-3 on each side
- Sew Snout centered between the ears at Rows 6-9
- Puffy paint eyes, teeth and tongue as you see fit!
